Can I Click on the Link in My Email?

This article covers how users can examine a link they receive in their email and determine if it's safe to click on it.

You should always be suspicious of links in email. Before you click, you should verify that you recognize the URL.

Some websites can install malicious software just by visiting them.

Phishers love to use websites that appear legitimate to steal your passwords and other sensitive information.

If you are prompted to install content or download a file when visiting a website, always click No and follow up with your IT staff.

Companies will never ask for passwords, social security numbers, or other sensitive data via email.
