Titan Online Upgrade

This article covers the changes to the Human Resources and Campus Solutions/Student Administration navigation with the Titan Online upgrade.

What is happening?

The Human Resources application will be separated from the Campus Solutions application, and menu links in Human Resources will only take you to Human Resource services, and menu links in Campus Solutions will only take you to Campus Solutions services. Other than this change, functionality will remain the same for all services.

When is this happening and what services are affected?

The services below will be undergoing a major upgrade and will be unavailable on the following dates: Thursday, March 29, 2018, 5:00 pm through Monday, April 2, 2018, 8:00 am.

  • Campus Solutions
    • Titan Mobile
    • Titan Online - Student Center  Student Self-Service
    • Titan Online - Faculty Center  Faculty Self-Service
    • Student Administration
    • Titan Degree Audit/Titan Degree Planner

    • Titan Online - Employee Self-Service, Absence and Time Management, Benefits, Payroll

Who is affected by this change?

Only faculty and staff who have access to both the Human Resources section and the Student Administration section of Titan Online are affected by the navigation changes.

All faculty, staff, and students will be unable to access the services below during the upgrade.

  • Campus Solutions
    • Titan Mobile
    • Titan Online - Student Center  Student Self-Service
    • Titan Online - Faculty Center  Faculty Self-Service
    • Student Administration
    • Titan Degree Audit/Titan Degree Planner
  • Human Resources
    • Titan Online - Employee Self-Service, Absence and Time Management, Benefits, Payroll
    • Titan Online - Manager Self-Service, Absence/Time Approval
    • Human Resources

  • My WorkPlace
Are Employee Self Service, Student Self Service, and Faculty Self Service changing?

No. The upgrade only affects users who have the Human Resources section and Student Administration section on their Titan Online. The links in the Self Service sections already point to the correct databases so you will not notice any differences.

What changes will be happening with the navigation?

Currently, if you have access to both Human Resources and Student Administration in your Titan Online, you can click on either Human Resources or Student Administration and get access to both applications.

Human Resources section and Student Administration section

Currently, clicking on either the Human Resources link or the Student Administration link will take you to the same application.

Current integrated menu

Notice in the above screenshot that you can see both HR functionality (blue circle) and Campus Solutions functionality (orange circle) integrated into a single menu.

For the Self Service functionality, there are components of both Human Resources (e.g., Employee Self Service) and Campus Solutions (e.g., Student Self Service) in the current application.

New HR menu

Notice in the above screenshot that clicking on the Human Resources link in Titan Online results in a menu that offers only Human Resources services such as student worker hiring/timekeeping and Absence Management timekeeping.

New Campus Solutions menu

Notice in the above screenshot that clicking on the Student Administration link in Titan Online results in a menu that offers only Campus Solutions services such as service indicators, admissions inquiry, and curriculum management.

Are any of the navigation paths changing?

No. You will still use the same navigation paths to access the services; you just won't be able to access both Human Resources and Campus Solutions services in the same place.

For example, you'll still go to Main Menu > CSUF HR > HR Inquire > CMS CWID Search to access the CWID Search in Human Resources. And you'll still go to Main Menu > Curriculum Management > Schedule of Classes > Maintain Schedule of Classes to modify the campus class schedule in Campus Solutions.
