Using Duo Token/Fob to Access Campus Resources
Duo is the two-factor authentication (2FA) service CSUF is using to secure login attempts to various campus services and applications. This article describes the steps to authenticate using a Duo token/fob which generates a passcode.
Need to request a Duo token/fob? Contact the IT Help Desk at [email protected] or 657-278-7777 and a token/fob will be mailed to you.
1. At the portal login screen, enter your username and password. Then click Login.

2. Click Enter a Passcode.

- Make sure that Token is selected in the drop-down menu.
- Check Remember me for 5 days to avoid having to authenticate again with Duo on this device for the next five days.
- Click Enter a Passcode.
3. On your Duo token/fob, press the circular button to generate a passcode.

4. Enter the passcode and then click Log In.

- Enter the passcode that you generated using the Duo token/fob.
- Click Log In.
5. You should now be signed in to the campus resource.
1. After choosing to sign in to an app such as Outlook on the Web or Adobe, you will see the Microsoft sign in screen. Enter your campus email address (if not already populated). Then click Next.

- Enter your campus email address. Faculty/staff/emeriti should enter their @fullerton.edu email address.
- Then click Next.
2. Enter your campus password. Then click Sign In.

- Enter your campus password. This is the same password that you use to log on to the campus portal.
- Then click Sign In.
3. Click Enter a Passcode.

- Make sure that Token is selected in the drop-down menu.
- Check Remember me for 5 days to avoid having to authenticate again with Duo on this device for the next five days.
- Click Enter a Passcode.
4. On your Duo token/fob, press the circular button to generate a passcode.

5. Enter the passcode and then click Log In.

- Enter the passcode that you generated using the Duo token/fob.
- Click Log In.
6. You should now be signed in to the app.
