Adding a device to your Duo account
This article will demonstrate how to add an additional device to your Duo account. Having multiple devices is recommended to give you options in case you don't have one of your devices with you
1. Open your web browser to the CSUF Duo Two-Factor Authentication Setup website.
2. Enter your campus username and password. Place a checkmark next to I'm not a robot. Then click Login.

- Enter your campus username and password. This is the same login/password that you use for the campus portal.
- Place a checkmark next to I'm not a robot.
- Then click Login.
3. Click on Add a new device in the left menu.
You do not need to choose an authentication method on this screen, however you will need to do it on the next screen.

4. Click Call Me to authenticate by phone call. Click Enter a Passcode to request an authentication code by text message. Or click Send me a Push if you have the Duo Mobile app set up on your current mobile device.
Be sure you select a device that is accessible to you at the time you are adding an additional device.

- Click Call Me and you will receive a phone call from Duo with instructions on how to authenticate (normally just press a number on your phone's dial pad).
- Click Enter a Passcode to get a text with a verification code.
- Click Send me a Push to get a push notification from the Duo Mobile app.
- Don't have access to your default device? Click I don't have access to my device. Get one-time authentication code.
4.1. Option D: I don't have access to my device. Get one-time authentication code.
4.1. An email will be sent to your personal email account identified on the screen. Click Continue to Add device.
4.2. You'll be taken back to the Add a new device screen. Click Add a new device and then click Enter a Passcode.

- Click Add a new device on the left.
- Then click Enter a Passcode.
4.3. Enter the passcode and then click Log In.

- Enter the passcode.
- Then click Log In.
5. Select the type of device you want to add. Then click Continue.

Install the Duo Mobile app on your mobile phone from either Apple Store or Google Play. You will come back to this in step 5
1. Select Mobile phone and click Continue.

2. Enter your mobile phone number. Place a checkmark to confirm the phone number Then click Continue.

- Enter the 10 digit phone number for your cell phone.
- Place a checkmark to indicate the phone number is correct.
- Then click Continue.
3. You may be prompted to choose the operating system (OS) of the device you are adding. Select it and then click Continue.

4. Click I have Duo Mobile Installed. If you intend to use the Duo Mobile app, please make sure you download it from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store first.
For tablets, you will have to use the Duo Mobile app. For mobile phones, you do not need to use the Duo Mobile app, but you will need to click this button to finish adding your new phone.

5. Open the Duo Mobile app on your device. Tap either Add Account or the plus sign icon at the top.
When opening up the Duo app for the first time it will ask you for permission to send you notifications; tap Allow.

6. Tap OK to allow Duo Mobile to access the camera if prompted.

7. Hold your device up to the laptop/computer screen to scan the QR code.

8. Duo is now connected to your mobile device.
Notice that another way you can use your mobile device with Duo is to generate a passcode.

9. On your computer/laptop, click Continue to save your changes. You're done!

Install the Duo Mobile app on your tablet from either Apple Store or Google Play. You will come back to this in step 4
1. Select Tablet and click Continue.

2. Choose the operating system (OS) of the tablet you are adding. Select it and then click Continue.

3. Click I have Duo Mobile Installed.
Please make sure you download the Duo Mobile app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store first.

4. Open the Duo Mobile app on your device. Tap either Add Account or the plus sign icon at the top.
At first launch the Duo Mobile app will ask you for permission to send you Notifications, tap Allow.

5. Tap OK to allow Duo Mobile to access the camera if prompted.

6. Hold your device up to the laptop/computer screen to scan the QR code.

7. Duo is now connected to your mobile device.
Notice that another way you can use your tablet with Duo is to generate a passcode.

8. On your computer/laptop, click Continue to save your changes. You're done!

1. Select Landline and click Continue.

2. Enter the phone number. Place a checkmark to confirm the phone number Then click Continue.

3. Your new landline is added.
