What Should I Do if I Receive Something Suspicious?

This article covers what to do if you receive a suspicious email.

If you receive a suspicious email...

If you suspect an email to be a possible phishing attempt, you should report it the IT Help Desk at helpdesk@fullerton.edu or 657-278-7777.

  • IT can verify if an email is legitimate or a phishing attack.
  • IT can block other users from receiving/opening the phishing email.
  • Malicious websites can be reported and taken down.

A fast reaction to a phishing attack helps keep everyone safe. It's better to report a legitimate email than to not report a malicious one. Be safe, not sorry!
