2 - Information Verification

Verify the Chapter benefit (30, 31, 33, 35, 1606), eligibility percentage, and major on the Master List and the Certification Tracker match what is listed on VBS.

NOTE: If the information on the Master List and Cert Tracker do not reflect what is on VBS, change status to "problem" and make note of the inaccurate information in the notes section. Proceed with reviewing the certification request.

3 - Perform TDA check on selected classes

'CTRL F' on the TDA and search for the first class the student selected to certify (i.e. HUSR-350)

If the classes requested fall under required sections on the TDA, and there are no other problems with the students request (i.e. inaccurate information, no record on file etc.), change status to "in review".

If the classes requested are not certifiable (not fulfilling required sections), have taken it before and passed, or any other problems or concerns, mark the status as "problem" and make the applicable notes in the notes section of the certification tracker.

*NOTE: The check box on the left side of the class in the "Student Certification Request" section will determine if the student would like the class to be certified. If the student does not select certain classes to be certified, make a note of those classes in the 'note section' of the Certification Tracker.

4 - Determine In Person and Online units

In enrollment certification under the 'Term enrollment details' box, select 'unit details' tab to identify which classes are resident or online.

Annotate the unit details in the Certification Tracker in the applicable sections. (i.e. 6 resident, 6 online)

*NOTE: For Fall 2021 Only, use shopping cart to determine which classes are in person vs. online.*

  • “Web Fully Online” with meeting dates and times will count as in person for Fall 2021.
  • “Web Fully Online w/ Required meetings dates” will count as in person for Fall 2021.
  • “Web Fully Online” with no meeting dates and times will be considered strictly online regardless of the term.
5 - Class dates for Unit Calculation

In enrollment certification under the 'Term enrollment details' box, select 'class details' tab to identify if any classes have start or end dates that do not last the entire term.

If the start or end dates last the entire term, no further action is needed.

If the start or end dates do not last the entire term, make a note of this in the notes tab in the certification tracker

6 - Completion

*IMPORTANT: Do not change the status of the certification request by any means. If the status was changed on accident, notify the advising coordinator.

Once the certification review process is complete, save any changes on the certification tracker and repeat these steps for the next certification request.
