TTH - Compliance Audits

What is the Compliance Audit?

The Compliance Audit (formerly known as the President’s Audit) is a semi-annual evaluation coordinated by the Titan Training Hub (TTH). Its purpose is to improve campus-wide completion rates for required compliance trainings.

Timing

  • Spring Compliance Audit (SCA): Typically conducted in April.
  • Fall Compliance Audit (FCA): Runs from September through December.

Process and Collaboration
The TTH partners with Course Owners and Division Liaisons (COOs) to work toward achieving a 100% completion rate—or as close as possible—for compliance courses.

Compliance courses are divided into two categories:

  1. Courses whose official completion rates are reported to the Chancellor’s Office.
  2. Other compliance trainings, which are not reported but are included in our efforts because they are critical to campus compliance and beneficial when kept up to date.

Group 1) Official audit courses:

  • Gender Equity & Title IX
  • Conflict of Interest (COI)
  • CSU's Discrimination and Harassment Prevention for Supervisors (SHPS)
  • CSU's Discrimination and Harassment Prevention for Non-Supervisors (SHPNS)

The courses for which completion rates are officially reported may vary from year to year, as determined by the Chancellor’s Office.

Group 2) Other 'best practices' compliance courses:

  • Data Security & FERPA (DSP)
  • Campus Health & Safety (CHS)
  • Defensive Drivers Training (DDT)
  • Emergency Preparedness (EP)
  • Injury Illness and Prevention Program (IIPP)
  • Workplace Violence Prevention Program (WVPP)
  • Clery (Understanding the Clery Act)
  • Mandated Reporter (MR)

Complaince Audit Process

The TTH begins with a kick-off meeting to outline the process, roles, and timeline. Throughout the audit period, monthly meetings are held to answer questions and provide ongoing updates.
