ArcGIS Pro Download & Installation
This article covers how CSUF users can download, install, and activate ArcGIS.
Campus licenses for ArcGIS are available for active CSUF students, faculty, and staff as well as alumni, emeriti, and other users with a valid CSUF email address and two-factor authentication.
ArcGIS is only downloadable on Windows devices. Mac users can access it through the campus virtual labs.
Before downloading ArcGIS, check your system requirements to ensure the software can run on your device:
1. Go to the CSUF ArcGIS login page and click the CSUF_EDU button.
- Open the CSUF ArcGIS login page.
- Click CSUF_EDU.

2. Enter your campus email address and then click Next.
- Enter your campus email address. Faculty/staff should enter their @fullerton.edu email address. Students should enter their @csu.fullerton.edu email address.
- Click Next.

3. Enter your campus password. Then, click Sign In.
Your campus email should automatically populate. If it doesn't, you can type it in.
- Enter your campus password. This is the same password that you use to log on to the campus portal.
- Click Sign in.

4. You'll be prompted to authenticate with Duo.

5. Click your profile avatar at the top right of the page, then select My settings.
- Click your avatar/profile picture.
- Select My settings.

7. Scroll down to find ArcGIS Pro. Then, click Download ArcGIS Pro.

8. Click Download.
The version should default to the most recent English version but if not, you can select another from the drop-down menu.

1. Locate and open the ArcGIS installer (.exe file).

2. Select a destination folder to which your files will be extracted. Then, click Next.
- To select a different destination folder from the one that autopopulates, click Browse to choose your preferred location.
- Click Next.

3. Check Launch the setup program. Then, click Close.
- Place a check next to Launch the setup program to open the ArcGIS Pro Setup window after exiting the installer.
- Click Close.

4. The ArcGIS Pro Setup window will open. Click Next.

5. Read the recommendations and take any necessary action. Then, click Next.

6. Read the master agreement and indicate that you accept it. Then, click Next.
- Select the option that says I accept the master agreement.
- Click Next.

7. Select an installation context. Then, click Next.
In order to install the application for all users who use the computer, you need to have administrator permissions.
- Select whether you want to install ArcGIS for all users on the computer or only for you (tied to your CSUF account.)
- Click Next.

8. Select/deselect features that you want to install with ArcGIS. Then, click Next.
- Choose AI features that you want to install with ArcGIS.
- Click Next.

9. Click Install.
By default, the option to participate in the Esri User Improvement program is checked. You can uncheck the box if you don't wish to participate.

10. Wait for the program to install. This may take a few minutes. When installation is complete, click Finish.
ArcGIS is automatically set to run after the installation. If you do not wish to use ArcGIS immediately after installing, you can uncheck the Run ArcGIS Pro now box.

1. Click Your ArcGIS organization's URL to expand the section.

2. Type in CSUF. Then, click Continue.
You can place a check next to Remember this URL so that you don't have to enter the URL each time you log in.
- Enter CSUF into the data field.
- Click Continue.

3. Click CSUF_EDU.

4. Enter your campus email address and then click Next.
- Enter your campus email address. Faculty/staff should enter their @fullerton.edu email address. Students should enter their @csu.fullerton.edu email address.
- Click Next.

5. Enter your campus password. Then, click Sign In.
Your campus email should automatically populate. If it doesn't, you can type it in.
- Enter your campus password. This is the same password that you use to log on to the campus portal.
- Click Sign in.

6. You'll be prompted to authenticate with Duo.
