Adding Your Project Updates in Wrike
This article covers how IT managers can add project updates for their projects in Wrike.
1. Log in to your account on the Wrike website.
Log in to your account on the Wrike website.
2. Access the CSUF IT Dashboard.
Consider pinning this link so it appears in a special Pinned section in the left navigation menu as shown in the image below.
4. The My Projects view shows you all projects where you are the Assignee.
Assignee/Owner = the person responsible for adding updates to the Project Updates field. This person must have a licensed Wrike account and will receive Wrike notifications for the project.
Project Sponsor = the senior leadership manager who is responsible for the project. All senior leadership managers have licensed Wrike accounts.
IT Project Coordinator = the subject matter expert(s) for the project. A licensed Wrike account is not necessary; this is mostly an informational field.
Locate the project you want to update. Is there an existing comment in the Project Updates field?
2. Type in your project update. Then click anywhere outside of the Project Updates field to save your changes.
It's recommended that you add the current date at the beginning of the project update so it is easy for others to determine when you last updated the project.
- Type in your project update.
- Then click anywhere outside of the Project Updates field to save your changes.
The previous project updates are not saved when you update this field.
It's highly recommended to copy the previous project update and add it to the comments for the project before adding a new project update to maintain a record of the project updates.
1. Double click in the Project Updates field and highlight the existing text. Then cut or copy the text.
3. Paste the comment in the comment field at the bottom of the project pop-up screen. Then click Send.
7. Type in your project update. Then click anywhere outside of the Project Updates field to save your changes.
