Add, Hide, or Remove the Interfaith Calendar to Your CSUF Outlook Calendar
This article covers how CSUF faculty and staff can add the Interfaith Calendar to their CSUF Outlook calendar.
Add the Interfaith Calendar to your Outlook calendar
Note that adding the calendar on one app does not necessarily add it to the other apps.
1. Open the calendar view in Outlook and select Open Calendar in the Manage Calendars section of the ribbon menu.
2. Select From Address Book.
3. Search for "interfaith" or "interfaithcalendar" to locate the calendar and select it from the search results.
- Check that you are using the Global Address List and not the Offline Global Address List to make sure you are viewing the most up-to-date version of the address book.
- Search for interfaith or interfaithcalendar.
- Make sure the interfaithcalendar is highlighted.
4. Click Calendar to add the interfaithcalendar to the selected Calendar. Then click OK.
- Click Calendar to add the interfaithcalendar to the Calendar selection.
- Then click OK.
5. The Interfaith Calendar will be added to your Outlook. If the calendar doesn't automatically open, make sure there is a checkmark next to the interfaithcalendar in the calendar list on the left.
If you don't see any events on the calendar for this week, try looking at another week.
6. Prefer to combine all of your calendars in one view? Right-click on the Interfaith Calendar title and then choose Overlay.
Please note that these steps will only work if you are using the Legacy version of Outlook for Mac and not the new Outlook for Mac.
1. Open the calendar view in Outlook for Mac and select Open Shared Calendar in the Home section of the ribbon menu.
2. Search for "interfaith" or "interfaithcalendar" to locate the calendar and select it from the search results. Then click Open.
- Search for interfaith or interfaithcalendar.
- Make sure the interfaithcalendar is highlighted.
- Then click Open.
3. Quit Outlook for Mac and re-open it.
4. Locate the interfaithcalendar in the calendar list and place a checkmark next to it to enable it.
5. The Interfaith Calendar now appears in your Outlook calendar view.
If you don't see any events on the calendar for this week, try looking at another week.
6. Prefer to combine all of your calendars in one view? Click on the Organize tab and select Overlay.
1. Open your Outlook calendar on Outlook on the web. Then click Add calendar on the left.
2. Select Add from directory.
4. Type interfaith or interfaithcalendar in the search box. Then select the interfaithcalendar from the search results.
- Type interfaith or interfaithcalendar in the search box.
- Then select the interfaithcalendar from the search results.
5. Choose the calendar section where you want to add this calendar. Then click Add.
- Choose the calendar section where you want to add this calendar (e.g., My Calendars, People's Calendars, etc.).
- Then click Add.
The screenshots below were taken on an Apple iPhone, but the steps will be the same for Android users.
1. Open the Outlook mobile app and tap on the Calendar icon.
2. Tap on the calendar settings icon next to the month.
3. Tap on the add calendar icon.
4. Tap Add Shared Calendars.
5. Type interfaith or interfaithcalendar in the search box. Then tap the plus sign icon next to the interfaithcalendar in the search results.
- Type interfaith or interfaithcalendar in the search box.
- Then tap the plus sign icon next to the interfaithcalendar in the search results.
6. You will see the Interfaith Calendar appear under the People's Calendars section of your calendar list.
There should be a checkmark next to the Interfaith Calendar, meaning it will show up in your Outlook calendar. If yours is unchecked, tap the checkbox next to the calendar to enable it.
7. Events on the Interfaith Calendar will now show in your Outlook calendar view.
If you don't see any events on the calendar for this day, try looking at another day.
Hide the Interfaith Calendar on your Outlook calendar
1. Open your Outlook calendar on Outlook on the web and remove the checkmark next to the interfaithcalendar in the calendar list on the left.
1. Open the Outlook mobile app and tap on the Calendar icon.
2. Tap on the calendar settings icon next to the month.
3. Tap the checkbox next to the interfaithcalendar to hide the calendar.
4. The Interfaith Calendar is hidden from your Outlook calendar, but it is not removed from your account. Tap the checkbox next to the calendar to un-hide it.
Remove the Interfaith Calendar from your Outlook calendar
1. Open your Outlook calendar. Then right-click on the interfaithcalendar in the calendar list on the left and select Delete Calendar.
- Right-click on the interfaithcalendar in the calendar list on the left.
- Then select Delete Calendar.
2. The Interfaith Calendar is now deleted from your Outlook calendar.
You can always re-add the calendar using the instructions above.
1. Open your Outlook calendar. Then click on the interfaithcalendar in the calendar list on the left and select the Edit menu.
- Click on the interfaithcalendar in the calendar list on the left.
- Then select the Edit menu.
2. Select Remove.
3. Quit Outlook for Mac and re-open it.
4. The Interfaith Calendar is now deleted from your Outlook calendar.
You can always re-add the calendar using the instructions above.
1. Open your Outlook calendar on Outlook on the web and hover your mouse over the interfaith calendar to show the three dots (More Options) menu. Click on the three dots menu.
2. Select Remove.
3. Select Remove to confirm you want to remove the calendar.
4. You will see a confirmation that the calendar was deleted from your Outlook.
You can always re-add the calendar using the instructions above.
1. Open the Outlook mobile app and tap on the Calendar icon.
2. Tap on the calendar settings icon next to the month.
3. Tap the settings icon next to the interfaithcalendar.
4. Tap Remove Shared Calendar.
5. The Interfaith Calendar is now deleted from your Outlook calendar.
You can always re-add the calendar using the instructions above.
