Students: Updating Your Phone Numbers

This article covers how students can update the phone number(s) that they have on file with the campus, including contact information in the Student Homepage/Titan Online and campus emergency notifications through the campus portal.

Please note that these instructions do NOT change your Duo two-factor authentication devices. View the Students: Adding/Removing/Renaming Devices in Duo guide for information on updating your devices in Duo.

What Phone Number Do You Want to Change?

Your mobile/cell phone number is managed through the campus portal. You are not able to change it in the Student Homepage, but you will be able to view it there.

1. Log in to the campus portal with your campus username and password.

2. Click on the Profile drop-down menu and select Account Settings.

You can also click on your profile picture on the far left of the screen.

  1. Click on the Profile drop-down menu.
  2. Select Account Settings.

3. Click on Campus Alerts and Notifications in Student Account Settings.

4. Enter your new 10 digit phone number. Then click Update & Verify.

  1. You will see the last four digits of your current mobile/cell phone number.
  2. Enter the 10 digit phone number where you wish to receive notifications.
  3. If you are adding an alternative cell number, place a checkmark next to Is Alternative Cell Number?
  4. Then click Update & Verify.

5. You'll see a message that says successfully updated. You're done!

You will see a brief message next to the update & verify button indicating the update was successful.

Expand or collapse content Home, Local, or Other Phone Number

Your Home, Local, and Other phone numbers are managed through the Student Homepage.

1. Log in to the campus portal and access your Student Homepage.

2. Click on the Profile tile.

1. Click on Contact Details in the left menu.

2. Click on the plus sign button under Phone.

3. Use the Type drop-down menu to select the type of phone number you are adding. Then enter the Phone Number. Check Preferred to set this as your preferred phone number. Check Enable Texts to receive texts at this phone number. Then click Save.

Note that you will only see available phone types in the drop-down menu. For example, if you already have a Local or Home phone number added, you will not see the Local or Home phone types in the drop-down menu.

  1. Use the Type drop-down menu to select the type of phone number you are adding.
  2. Then enter the Phone Number.
  3. Check Preferred to set this as your preferred phone number.
  4. Check Enable Texts to receive texts at this phone number.
  5. Then click Save.
4. You will see a confirmation that the phone number was added.

Expand or collapse content Update an existing phone number
1. Click on Contact Details in the left menu.

2. Click on phone number you want to edit.

3. Make the updates to the phone number information as needed. Then click Save.

  1. Edit the phone number.
  2. Check Preferred to set this as your preferred phone number.
  3. Check Enable Texts to receive texts at this phone number.
  4. Click Save to save your changes.
4. You will see a confirmation that the phone number was updated.

1. Click on Contact Details in the left menu.

2. Click on phone number you want to delete.

4. Click Yes to confirm you want to delete the phone number.

4.1. If you're deleting your preferred phone number, you will be prompted to select a new preferred phone number.

5. You will see a confirmation that the phone number was deleted.
