Accessing Splashtop Business
This article covers how students can install and run the Splashtop Business app. Splashtop is a software that allows you to connect remotely to an iMac computer with Mac-specific software.
What do you want to do?
1. Go to the CSUF Splashtop page and click Get the Splashtop Business App.
If you are on one of the college pages for CSUF Virtual Labs, you can click on the Splashtop link to get to the CSUF Splashtop page.
Go to the CSUF Splashtop page.
Click on Get the Splashtop Business App.
2. Choose the download link for the type of computer/device you are using.
You can choose options other than Windows or MacOS, but detailed instructions for installing the app are not available for those options. However, the instructions below may assist in you with installing the app on your device.
Choose the type of device you are installing on.
1. Open the Splashtop Business app on your computer/device.
PC: Start > Splashtop Remote > Splashtop Business
Mac: Go > Applications > Splashtop Business
3. Enter your campus email address and click Log In.
You may want to check the Stay logged in option for a faster login the next time you use the app.
- Enter your full campus email address (e.g. [email protected]).
- Click Log In.
7. You'll be prompted to authenticate with Duo.
New to Duo?
Remember you can use Other options to choose another way to authenticate with Duo.
9. All available virtual computer connections will appear. Double click on a virtual computer to connect to it.
10. A new window will open with a login screen. Enter your campus username and password to log in.
It may take a few minutes for the virtual computer to connect.
12. When you are ready to disconnect, go to the Apple menu and select Log Out.
Be sure to save your work to an external source (e.g., Dropbox, OneDrive, Google Drive) before disconnecting! View instructions on saving files and folders to a cloud app.
- Click on the Apple menu.
- Select Log Out.
