Playing video or audio using my MacBook or laptop on the Interactive Digital Display

This article will show you how to display a video or audio from your MacBook or laptop on the Interactive Digital Display which is in some of the general use classrooms.

When your MacBook or PC laptop is connected to the Interactive Digital Display via the USB-C cable, you can play a video or audio file on your computer and it will show on the large display. The audio can also be run through the display.

Laptop: Set the audio to use the Display's speakers.

If you are using a laptop, follow these steps to have the sound output to the Display's speakers. Typically, this process only needs to be done the first time you want the audio to output via the Display.

1. Once you have plugged the USB-C cable into your laptop, click on the Speaker icon.

2. Click on the Sound Output connection icon.

3. Click on the appropriate output device for the display.

MacBook: Set the audio to use the Display's speakers.

If you are using a MacBook, follow these steps to have the sound output to the Display's speakers. Typically, this process only needs to be done the first time you want the audio to output via the Display.

1. Click on System Settings.

2. Click on Sound, then click on the DisplayPort option.

3. Play your video.

Adjust the volume on the Interactive Digital Display.

First adjust the volume in the app you are using to play the video or audio file.

Push the Volume Up or Volume Down button on the Interactive Digital Display.

These buttons are on the bottom right-hand corner of the display.
