Changing Your Campus Password From the Portal

This quick guide covers how students can change their campus password under their CSUF Portal account settings.

NOTE: You must know your current password in order to follow these instructions. If you are locked out of your account or do not know your current password use the forgot password instructions.

Be aware: Your campus password can not be changed through the Outlook web app (OWA).

1. Login to your CSUF Portal account

Open your internet browser to the CSUF Homepage.

2. Click on Portal for Students, Faculty, and Staff

3. Login with your CSUF username and password

4. Click on the avatar on the top right corner, then click on Account Settings

5. Under Student Account Settings, click on Change Portal Password

6. Enter your current password.Then enter your new password and confirm it by entering it again.

  1. Enter your current password.
  2. Then enter your new password twice to confirm it.

Check out the password requirements to see if your new password meets the requirements!

7. Click Update

8. You will receive a confirmation message that your password has been successfully changed.

9. Update your smartphone, tablet, and laptop with your new password for use with the campus WiFi network, iFullerton app, and your student email.

10. Update your security questions.

Security questions allow you to reset your password by answering the security questions; no need to contact IT for help!
