How to Disable Meeting Summary with Zoom AI Companion
This article covers how faculty, staff, and students can disable Meeting Summary with Zoom AI Companion in the Zoom web application and turn off this feature during Zoom meetings.
Previously this feature was "opt in" which meant it was turned off by default. However, now the feature is "opt out" meaning that it is turned on by default.
What do you want to do?
1. Uncheck the Automatically start Zoom AI or AI Companion option when scheduling a new Zoom meeting.
2. You will still have the option of starting the Meeting summary with AI Companion when the meeting starts by clicking on the AI Companion icon in the top tool bar.
1. Log in to the CSUF Zoom web application.
Refer to the Activating Your Zoom Account and Logging into Zoom guide.
2. Click on your profile icon on the upper right corner.
3. Click on My Account in the popup menu
4. The My Account page will open.
5. Click Settings on the left navigation menu and then choose Zoom AI.
- Click Settings on the left navigation menu.
- Then choose Zoom AI.
6. Scroll down to the Meeting section and click the slider next to Meeting summary with AI to turn off the feature completely.
7. Click Disable to confirm you want to disable Meeting summary with AI Companion.
8. You'll see a pop-up indicating your settings have been updated.
