Naming Convention

Templates

Any templates created in AdobeSign are required to follow the naming convention below. 

The naming convention allows your document to be easily located for use and support purposes. 

[Div][Dept.#]_[POP]_[Filename]

Required

[Div] = Division Abbreviation

Example: 

Student Affairs = SA

[Dept.#] = Department

Example:

10123

[POP] = Receiving Population

Example:

  • STU = Student
  • EMP = Employee
  • FAC = Faculty
  • ALL= All (Faculty/Staff/Student)

[Filename] = Filename

Your file name should reflect the title of the form, but also be as concise as possible

Example:

  • Graduate Student Non-Resident Tuition Fee Waiver (NRTFW) Nomination Form = NRTFW
  • Course Continuation Form = Course Continuation Form

Optional but recommended

[Year] = Intended School Year for Usage

Example:

Fall, Spring, Summer  2020 = 2020

[Type] = Type of AdobeSign Workflow

Example:

  • PS = Push; The department initiates the signature request
  • PL = Pull; The signer initiates the signature request
  • APP = App

[Version]= Version Number

Example: 

  • V1 = Version 1
  • V2 = Version 2
