How to Create an ILT Class

These instructions cover how to create an ILT Class in the Titan Training Hub (TTH), formerly Employee Training Center (ETC).

If this is a brand new class, you must first create an ILT Course before creating the ILT Class.

 Please refer to the How to Create an ILT Course guide.

Creating an ILT Class

Step 1: 

 Start on the Titan Training Hub (TTH) Dashboard

Click on the Administration Link located at the upper left corner

Step 3:

Click Quick Links, then Learning Activities

Step 4:

The screen will refresh to the Activity Management page

Step 5:

In the upper right corner, click on the New Activity button

Step 6:

From the dropdown menu, select ILT Class

Step 7:

The screen will refresh to show the Offering Wizard, where you will enter the specifics of the class

Step 8:

Begin by clicking on the Browse button to search for the appropriate ILT Course

  • An ILT Course will have to have been created before creating the ILT Class.
  • You only need to create an ILT Course once.
  • Please refer to the ‘How to Create an ILT Course’ guide.

Step 9:

Next, select the appropriate radio button listed next to the ILT Course in which you want to create a class for

This shows a list of Class / Course offerings. There is a green arrow pointing to the left of each offering prompting you to select the appropriate offering's circle.

Step 10:

Once you find the class, click on the OK button

Step 11:

Once you have selected the appropriate ILT Course, your screen will refresh back to the Offering Wizard

Step 12:

Click on the Calendar icon to select the desired Start Date and Time for the session you would like to create

 Select the desired End Date and Time for the session you would like to create

Step 14:

 Ensure the Time Zone, is America/Los Angeles

Step 15:

 Enter the Maximum Capacity

Step 16:

 To allow users who have expressed interest to be notified, leave this checkbox checked

Step 17:

 Once all information is entered, click on the Build Offering button in the bottom right corner

Step 18:

From there, the screen will refresh to the Offering Set Up page, with a list of course details

Enter the name of the course or Edit the name, if you prefer, and leave the default Domain

Note: Domain should remain Fullerton

Step 20: 

 Once you have created the offering of the ILT Class and made the appropriate specifications, click on the Save button

Adding Instructors

Step 1:

To add an instructor begin by selecting the Optional button located on the bottom right corner of your Learning Activity Properties

Step 2:

 Scroll down to Resources, click on Instructors

Step 3:

 From there, click on the Add button

 In the pop-up screen, ensure you select the ‘Select Instructor’ radio button, then click on the Next button

Step 5:

The screen will refresh to show a list of available instructors

Select Instructor by clicking on the check box to the left of their name

  • You can select more than one instructor.
  • Their availability on the Employee Training Center does not reflect their actual (Outlook) availability.

Step 6:

 Once you have selected the instructor(s), click on the Next button

Step 7:

It is recommended to indicate you want the instructor to be Qualified and Responsible for the class

Qualified Instructor

  • Acts as support during training sessions.
  • They do not have access to the activity roster and do not receive email notifications.

Responsible Instructor

  • Instructor / Trainer
  • They have access to the activity roster, where they can add users, update statuses, and enter completion information.
  • They will receive email notifications.

If you do not see a name when searching for the instructor, please contact the ETC

Step 8:

 Click on the OK button

Step 9:

The screen will refresh and the instructor will be added to the list

Select the check box next to the appropriate instructor’s name that will be teaching the class

Step 11:

 Click on the Next button to finalize adding the instructor

Adding Locations

Step 1:

 Start on the Locations tab

Step 2:

 To add the location of the class, click on the Add button

This is the Locations page. There is a green arrow pointing to Add.

Step 3:

 From there, the screen will refresh to the Select Location page

Search for the location by using the search field or click on the magnifying glass to show all available locations

If you dont see a specific location, please contact ETC

Step 4:

Select the checkbox next to the appropriate location

Step 5:

 Click on the OK button

This is the Select Location page. The appropriate location is check marked. There is a green arrow pointing to the OK button.

Step 6:

You will return to the Locations page

 Click on the desired location’s check box on the left-hand side

This is the Location page. There is an arrow pointing to the check marked box to the left of the appropriate location.

Step 7:

 On the bottom right side, click on the OK button

This is the bottom right hand side of the location page. There is a arrow pointing to the OK button.
Notifications

The following notifications are defaulted to Active

  • You can inactivate any notification you do not want to utilize
  • For custom notifications (including CSUF logo), please email the Employee Training Center to request custom notifications

CSUF recommended ILT Notifications are:

  • Registration Confirmation Notification
  • Registration Cancellation/Deletion Notification
  • Learning Activity Cancellation Notification
  • Registration – Smart Waiting List Template
  • Learning Activity Assignment Change Notification  

Inactivate Notification(s)

Step 1:

Click on the Optional button located on the bottom right-hand corner of your Learning Activity Properties for the class

Step 2:

 Under Notifications, click on System

This shows the Edit Offering options page. Under the Notifications section, there is a green arrow pointing to System.

Step 3:

The System page will display

This is the Notifications - Systems page. It shows a list of all available Notification templates.

Change the View option to Active, so only active notifications are listed

Step 4:

Check the box to select the notification

Click on the Inactivate button

Activate Notifications

Step 1:

Search for the notification you would like to activate 

This is the Notifications - Systems page. There is a green arrow pointing to the search bar. There is a generated search for Registration confirmation.

You may want to change the View to Inactive

Step 2:

Check the box of the notification you would like to Activate

Step 3:

Click the Activate button

Validate for Production

Step 1:

Once the screen refreshes, click on the Validate for Production button in the lower left corner to make it visible to the campus

Step 2:

Now that you have created the class in Staging you are ready to move it to Production

 Click on the Move to Production button

Step 3:

Click on the Close button in the lower right corner

Your ILT class has now been created and will be viewable

It can take 5-10 minutes for your class to be viewable.
